Whenever Max and Julie hang out with their cousins we take too many photos of all the cuties. We finally got the 200+ photos from our white Christmas in Utah organized and uploaded. Some favorites:
Decorating Nonna and Papa’s Christmas tree.

Hanging out with her new cousins Eli and Soren (and yes, Jeff and Casey already have a set of twins…and Maya in the middle…all the cousins in these photos are from one statistically improbable ridiculously adorable family).

We managed to get all the present grandkids awake and happy, though not necessarily dressed (We missed Sidon who was back in Halifax awaiting the birth of his little sister, born this week! Congrats Aunt Courtney & Uncle Byron! Can’t wait to meet baby. Though you’re still waaay behind Jeff).
Taking a (chilly) wagon ride through the pretty Christmas lights at Thanksgiving Point
You know those one-armed self-portraits that sometimes make your face look fat? Brittney tried to take one of Julie in the carrier. She is a cutie chubster.
Julie chilling with Aunt Ashly and Edie.
Same bed, different energy with Uncle Eric and Papa.
Though my dear Grandma Beth passed away shortly after Max was born, she left a lovely dress with my wonderful Aunt Janet with instructions to give it to my daughter. Lots of our relatives noted that Julie reminds them of Beth. Our baby is lucky to take after such a beauty. Here’s her photo for comparison

Julie wants cookies…(she didn’t get any – she and Brittney are still dairy free).
Julie loved hanging out in Nonna’s frog bouncer and other gear especially when her cousins provided extra entertainment.

Making cookies for Santa Clause on Christmas Eve.
Going crazy licking the beaters.
The kids wanted to cut them out into Christmas shapes.
Carrots for the reindeer.
Lots of snowfall = a white Christmas Eve!

Max was excited to reunite with Edie, though she didn’t always do what Max told her to.
Playing with Papa Christmas morning.
Brittney and Mark’s favorite presents.

Opening presents from Santa – Max asked for candy canes, and that’s what he got! (We hope his present requests will always be this easy and cheap).

Both kids got lots of books – Max was extra excited about all the Dora books from Nonna.

Cool monster slippers from Aunt Ashly.
More candy in his stocking.
And some healthier treats. Max devoured the traditional Jensen stocking artichoke Nonna cooked for dinner that night.
Julie liked getting into everyone else’s stocking loot.

Playing in (and tasting) the snow. It was too powdery to make a snowman so we made a snow pile.

Trying – not that successfully – to get a photo of everybody (minus Mark, the impatient photographer).
Resting with Papa – Christmas is hard work!
Uncle Eric made it from Colombia to meet Julie, show Max his old train set and explain the finer points of ‘The Little Mermaid’ to his nieces and nephew.

Tickles with Uncle Jeff at his cousins’ gym.
Most of all the kids loved hanging out with their grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins. We are going to miss Nonna and Papa during their 18 month adventure in Moscow doing legal work for the Mormon church. Thanks for hosting us, see you in Christmas 2014.
