We can’t believe our baby is already a year old, but we also can’t believe she was ever not part of our family. May 7th fell on a work/school day this year, but before school Max helped me make homemade blueberry waffles.
One year old and ready to party! This is such an adorable age.
After taking Max to school and a long birthday nap we celebrated on the swings, one of Julie’s favorite places to kick and giggle.
Max helped Brittney bake and frost chocolate nutella cupcakes (both mommy and baby broke their dairy-free diet as she’s hopefully outgrown her intolerance by now). Baking takes a long time with a 3-year-old involved so it was a little late and she was a little tired by the time we sang to her.
Julie was more into making a mess with the cupcake than actually eating it.
Max (and Mommy) finished off their cupcakes. Butter and chocolate, I have missed you!
We didn’t get around to opening presents that night, but when we did we were pretty excited about the gorgeous clothes, Sesame Street classical music CD, much needed giant bib and other wonderful treats from our generous families. We had a party with friends – and more cupcakes – a few weeks later, photos of that coming soon.
