We started our St. Patty’s Day with a fun birthday party that had a face painter. Max wanted to be a puppy.![]() ![]() |
He decided Julie would be a butterfly. She was surprisingly patient.![]() |
Admiring their make-up.![]() |
Julie likes being held and will let anyone do it, be it Mommy or Hello Kitty (we’re not letting Max hold her quite yet).![]() |
The birthday girls & other friends (that’s the face painter holding Julie – we can pass her off to anyone).![]() |
They are (usually) patient posers,![]() |
That afternoon Brittney and Max went to a party at the Irish Arts Center in Hell’s Kitchen. Max started to dance (i.e. spinning around until he’s dizzy) as soon as he heard the flute and drums.![]() |
Then he made an Irish drum (and a cool Gaelic initial necklace) and joined the band .![]() ![]() |
We’re not so into corned beef and cabbage, so we made a green dinner – spinach pasta, artichokes, edamame, apples, pears, peas and celery. Max loves edamame. Julie likes pasta and spinach.![]() |
Green pancakes, Brittney’s favorite St. Patty’s tradition (we ate them the day after because Brittney went back to bed Sunday morning). Max cleared his plate (with a little help from Mommy).![]() |
We feel so lucky to be rediscovering the holidays with our kids! |
