Trees

Brittney and Max have been spending a lot of time together over the past 13 months. They had never been apart for more than a few hours, until last weekend when Brittney headed to Stanford for a Dollie/Band reunion.

Mark was relieved at how smoothly the weekend went. He didn’t have to make any emergency phone calls for help (though he did get a sitter for two hours on Saturday so he could watch the fourth quarter of some important games). Fun daddy/son activities included playing on the swings and slides at the playground, listening to guitar players in Central Park, visiting the Natural History Museum for the first time, hosting a boys-only barbecue and trading bonds together late Friday afternoon.

Brittney was busy cavorting with the always entertaining Stanford band, dancing in the rain at the football game, sleeping in for the first time in over a year and catching up with the ladies she danced with sophomore year, some silly trees and Elvis.

Max did great without his mom, though he was pretty excited to play with her hair again when they reunited Monday morning. The trees in Central Park aren’t as good dancers as at the ones at Stanford, but they provided a colorful backdrop for yet another fall photo shoot during some unseasonably warm weather.

Brittney misses her friends and fun times in California, but this scenery (and cute company) more than compensates.
