Cousins In The Suburbs

Poor Jeff & Casey had to deal with some flight drama getting to Russia, which meant the kids got extra time for a really long tea party in our backyard. Breanne and Sophie taught us how to say ‘would you like a spot of tea?’

We can’t quite place the twins’ accents.

Everyone loved dressing up in Russian costumes from Nonna and Papa (Max calls this his ‘king
costume).

They made lots of art for us including masks, fans and fairy pictures.

Sophie is not so sure about the silly faces.

Waiting for their cab to the airport (on their first of three attempts to leave the country). Who likes M & Ms?

A tired recap of the visit. Certain aspects of Cinderella really stuck with Julie.

Max and Julie were very sad to see their friends go. Every few days I’d take Julie down to the basement where Sophie and Breanne slept and she would get excited and say ‘my cousins?’ hoping they were hiding out there. Fortunately we got to visit them in Utah just a few weeks later – photos from that fun-filled trip coming soon.
